Our story
Dare to be…
3XTRA
We’re here to inspire and motivate to make a positive impact through our fashion choices. By using innovative manufacturing techniques to use recycled materials in our clothing line, we’re reducing our environmental footprint and creating a more sustainable fashion industry.
During the process of making our apparel there will be no use of any sort of chemicals and keep or fibers organic in the process of making the fabric. Our garments wear these certifications: Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), Organic Content Standard (OCS), Global Recycle Standard (GRS), OEKO-TEX and PETA Approved.
Our garments are not only good for the planet but also for the people. The workers who made your garments are protected by the Fair Wair Foundation (FWF) and are frequently checked to make sure to detect problems fast and to make sure all the rules are applied. In the factories we make sure there is no discrimination, workers are getting payed well, have a good working hours, a healthy work environment with no child labor.
One of biggest problems in todays fashion industry is that many clothing brands over produce and we do not want to be an attribute to that. That is why we create our garments as they are ordered, reducing excess inventory and avoiding unnecessary waste. This means that each item you receive is made with care, specifically for you.
Our brand is gender neutral as we believe in inclusion and celebrating diversity. At 3XTRA it’s about everyone feeling good in what they wear, regardless of gender labels, size or skin color.
We want to be more than just a brand. We are on a mission to make a positive impact in people’s lives, and we truly believe that together, we can achieve incredible things!
Our slogan is “Going Extra” because we believe that life is about going the extra mile for the planet, the people and our selves.
Ending waste in the fashion industry
Every year, an estimated 92 million tons of textile waste is produced worldwide, with more than four million tons ending up in landfills. But what if we could use some of this waste to create new products?
We collect fabric cuttings, which are taken to a mill where they are finely shredded and then blended with new organic cotton. These fibers are spun and turned into new yarn. The yarn is then knitted into the fabric we use for our hoodies and t-shirts.
By using recycled cotton, we save valuable resources compared to new organic cotton. Every kilogram of recycled yarn translates to savings of 20,000 liters of water, 200 grams of pesticides and fertilizers, 2.7 grams of paint and chemicals, and a reduction in energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
Due to the mixed composition of recycled and new organic cotton, the shades of our t-shirts and hoodies may vary slightly depending on production. When we blend undyed pure organic cotton with white, a natural marled effect is created. By eliminating the dyeing process, we not only reduce our use of chemicals but also the amount of water used per garment.
Our way to reduce waste, save water, a cleaner planet, and happier people.
